Ho 28 anni abito a Toronto.

ENGLISH

Young canadian artist, his breifs have become a cult object for those who like to surprise and play with their sexuality. Peaches loves them too and she never goes around without a pair in her bag.

Can you tell me something about what do you do in your life?
I am 28 yrs. old canadian artist, who lives in Toronto. I support myself as a promoter, which also buys me alot of time to make work as an artist. I throw two monthly nites Vaseline(vazaleen so you don't get sued!) and Peroxide. Vazaleen is a queer rock party, and peroxide is a new wave nite. I also spend alot of time collecting records and djing.

When and why did you start collecting male underwear?
I started collecting underwear when I was a teenager. I used to steal them from boys I used to sk8board with. When I started practicing as an artist I began collecting larger amounts of underwear specifically Y-Fronts and breifs. I was using them in installations. At one point I had almost two hundred pounds of them.

How many underwear did you customized?
I have hand customized at least 250 pairs of underwear. I see this as an ongoing project, I am still reconstructing more of this underwear.
Where do you take the inspiration for your creations?
I get inspiration from thrift stores (used clothing),
old discarded crafts, music, vintage pornography, boys, bad street fashion, fetishism, Vivienne Westwood, to name a few things.

Can you tell me something about your exhibitions?
The first installation I ever showed was a wall, floor to ceiling in height, constructed out of found white breifs woven between transparent wire to divide the space the the gallery. It took two days to install and used a couple hundred pounds of underwear. Today my installations for this work, utilize simple retail display merchandise, racks, forms, hangers. People are able to take the work off a rack and investigate it.

What kind of guy do you think should wear your underwear?
Lanky boys who want to display their slenderness, big bear boys covered in a thick coats of hair, Tranny boys displaying their scars proudly, boy dykes, sissies, straights. I think anyone who enjoys my work should wear it. That's why I made it functional. It's the best way to experience this kind of artwork.

If you see a guy for the first time, can you say what kind of underwear he’s wearing?
I like boys to suprise me.

They are all hand made, how long does it take you to finish one?
I have spent as little as 3 hours stitching a pair of underwear, and as long ans three weeks to complete some of the more labour intensive pairs.

The first time I’ve seen your underwear i thought: “It’s such a shame that something so cool has to be hidden by a pair of pants!” Do you think people should go around just with their underwear?
People have displayed themselves in less. I would be honoured to find out that guys were wearing nothing but my stuff in public. It has definately happened alot more in clubs, on dancers and exhibitionists. I have worn my own work under pants before, to suprise and seduce special interests.

Have you ever gone to an undy party?
I have to be honest I have been to one underwear party in a gay bar. Me and some friends wore some of my breifs to try and make the party a little more colourful. I discovered quickly it's not about the underwear it's the body it's packaging. The best underwear parties I have ever been to have just been spontanious, and in people's living rooms.

Do you think a guy, who’s gonna sleep with you, would think about what kind of underwear he should wear with you?
My first boyfriend always went commandoe, (no underwear) after a couple of months I noticed some pretty interesting breifs showing up on his bottom qute regularly. Often boys will bed me in simple under garments, and then make requests for me to hand over my underwear.
